NJ.com reported on February 22nd that Corporal Joseph DiParisi, of the New Providence Police Department, filed a claim of damages against the department. The claim is reported to be over a failure to promote DiParisi to a higher rank resulting in lost wages and pension benefits.
It was further reported that shortly after, the New Providence Police Department filed internal affairs charges against Corporal DiParisi. The charges are reported to result from an unauthorized high-speed chase.
